TecDays

The TecDays are organised by the SATW every year. Over the course of an entire day, pupils of participating Swiss schools attend practical and interactive modules of their choice, where they can exchange ideas with experts and immerse themselves in technical and scientific topics and applications.

Modules last 90min and are given by expert from academic research or industry and allow pupils to experience STEM careers.

2025

Aldo Tarascio and Harshit Choubey (Unibas) create the module Let’s build a quantum computer!

In this workshop students explored the new frontier of quantum computing! They go through the topic of quantum advantage and make a 1 qubit quantum computer to solve a simple problem in a way that a classical computer could never.

The module was given in the following highschools:

  • 28.11.2025: Kantonsschule Hohe Promenade, Zürich (Harshit Choubey)

  • 21.11.2025: Liceo Cantonale di Lugano 3 (Aldo Tarascio)

The modules were visited by 20 students each time.
