NCCR SPIN QUBITS WINTER SCHOOL

ON QUANTUM COMPUTATION

Tailored specifically for PhD students and Postdocs with a keen interest in Quantum Computation, the Winter School is designed to provide a dynamic platform for interactive training, meaningful networking, and an extraordinary line-up of lectures from field experts. This event serves as a catalyst for fostering collaboration and the exchange of knowledge among participants.

The 2026 edition of the NCCR SPIN Qubits Winter School takes place from 19–21 January 2026 at the Belvedere Hotel, Dorfstrasse 53, Grindelwald.

The Winter School covers a range of topics related to quantum computing, with a focus on semiconductor spins, with lectures, discussions, and opportunities for scientific exchange within our community.

Who can participate?

  • PhD students, postdocs, and Master’s students from across the NCCR SPIN network.

  • External PhD students and postdocs (outside the network) may also apply. Their requests will be reviewed, and decisions will be communicated individually.

The 2024 Edition of the NCCR SPIN Qubits Winter School took place on January 15-17, 2024 in Kandersteg, Switzerland. It provided participants with a comprehensive overview of quantum computation, blending theoretical knowledge with practical insights and fostering collaboration among young researchers.
