Outreach
NCCR SPIN is dedicated to making its research more accessible to the general public. We believe that science should be open and available to everyone, and we strive to raise awareness of our research results, promote scientific careers, and answer any questions the public may have about our activities. Throughout the year, we organize outreach events and meetings with a variety of institutions, individuals, and school classes to discuss our research and science in general.
If you have any questions or requests about outreach at NCCR SPIN, please contact our Communication and Outreach Officer for more information.
Next Outreach Events
QuantArt
From collaborating with festivals or museums to developing its own art installations, shows and games, the NCCR SPIN explores new ways to bring quantum science closer to the public, while engaging our researchers in diverse forms of science communication with our special art and science program.
Education
We are dedicated to discussing and disseminating NCCR SPIN research and knowledge with anyone. We believe in being as close as possible to our audience by giving priority to in person discussions as much as possible. We collaborate with schools, festivals and conferences to bring our research in contact with the public, inspire and empower the current and the next generations.
Equal Opportunities
NCCR SPIN is dedicated to promote scientific careers for everyone, and some of our outreach activities are focused on bridging the gender gap in physics by showcasing our women researchers.
Science Communication Program for Young Researchers
The NCCR SPIN Canvas Grant is an award winning program aiming to encourage young researchers to participate in public engagement events, both within the NCCR SPIN and externally. Candidates are encouraged to propose their own ideas and supported to realise them.
