Tinguely Entangled - Quantum Physics meets Music and Visual Arts!

Always wondered about quantum computers? This event is the perfect chance to learn more about this pioneering technology and get the answer to the questions you’ve always been asking yourself.

“Tinguely Entangled” is an audiovisual performance organized by NCCR SPIN together with the Basel Infinity Music Festival 2023. Young researchers of NCCR SPIN working in quantum computing will give you insights into intriguing topics in quantum physics. The young star Latvian composer Linda Leimane draws inspiration from the poetry of physics and transforms mysterious-looking topics from research such as entanglement, superposition, coherence or noise into original music (for twelve musicians and electronics). Italian artist Luca Scarzella will animate the performance with visual arts.

The concert will be followed by an apero where scientists from NCCR SPIN will answer your most burning questions. The concert will take place on the 25.03.2023 at 19h30 at the Museum Tinguely in Basel.

The event will be opened with an address by Beat Jans, President of the Government.
