Marie Le Dantec

Marie Le Dantec is a scientist and a visual communication designer. She obtained her engineering degree in micro- and nanotechnologies from Phelma Grenoble INP, Politecnico di Torino and EPFL, and a PhD in materials science from EMPA/ EPFL, in Switzerland. After her PhD, she pursued a Master of Arts in Visual Communication at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), Switzerland.

From 2022 to 2025, she was the Communication and Outreach Officer for the NCCR SPIN at the University of Basel. At the crossroads of art and (quantum) science, her work ranged from graphic design and illustration to creating, developing and managing multidisciplinary projects together with artists and scientists. She co-developed the NCCR SPIN Outreach program QuantArt from the ground up. She also managed projects and grants in the Equal Opportunities area.
