Gen-Q Doctoral Programme: Call for Applications for 51 PhD Positions in Quantum Science and Technology
The Gen-Q doctoral training programme, coordinated by EUCOR – The European Campus, is now open for applications. The programme offers 51 fully funded positions for doctoral researchers in quantum science and technology, with a project duration of 48 months leading to a doctoral degree.
About the Programme
Gen-Q is funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND scheme (Horizon Europe) and brings together a consortium of seven universities committed to advancing research and training in quantum technologies:
University of Basel, Switzerland
Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany
University of Haute-Alsace, France
University of Strasbourg, France
University of Amsterdam, Netherlands
Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań, Poland
The scientific focus of the programme is structured around four key challenges:
Overcoming noise in quantum devices
Scaling quantum systems (qubits and sensors)
Developing quantum hardware
Advancing quantum software and hybrid computing
Eligibility and Application
Applications are open to qualified candidates from all countries, provided they meet the eligibility criteria outlined on the programme website. The application deadline is 31 August 2025.
