The University of Basel Innovation Team offers a Startup Training:

Are you curious, open-minded and enjoy meeting and working with like-minded people on innovative business ideas? Then immerse yourself into our upcoming spring course (February 18 – May 18), "Startup Training Module 2: Business Concept" on behalf of Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency.

The course is aimed at University who Basel members who dream of founding their own knowledge- or technology-based startup, association or business. The 11 different sessions are led by experienced coaches from the innovation ecosystem in Basel and beyond. The training is hands-on and you will get to meet other inspiring startups to help you and your idea to take off.

 

Is this course for me?

Yes. If you’re keen on learning & trying out…

-        different tools for startups, e.g. lean startup approach, business model canvas, design thinking;

-        business & financial skills to found your startup;

-        pitching skills & knowledge about intellectual property;

-        & being propelled into an entrepreneurial state of mind.

 

Where & when does the course take place?

-        The course will kick-off with a virtual Bootcamp and will be run virtually for the first few sessions. Whenever the pandemic situation allows it, the course sessions will be moved to in person events taking place in the Pupella Innovation Garage ( Kreuzstrasse 4, 4123 Allschwil). Zoom links will be sent upon confirmed participation (acceptance into the course).

-       Attendance to the “Innovation Bootcamp – Kickstart your Idea” prior to the course (Friday, February 18, 10am to 5pm) is mandatory for participants;

-       If you do not attend neither Bootcamp nor the Kick-off session on the March 2, 2022 (5 to 9pm), we can no longer guarantee your spot in the course.

 

Registration

To apply, follow this link: https://entrepreneurship-training.ch/module2/basel/ . The course is held in English and is free of charge for members of the university of Basel. Participation at a majority of sessions & Bootcamp is mandatory. Joining a Module 1 event “Business ideas” prior to signing up for the Module 2 is recommended, but not mandatory.

The number of participants is limited (max. 25) and participants will be selected based on their “application”. Registration deadline: Thursday, February 10, 2022 (6pm).
