NCCR SPIN together with Swissnex sheds light on the potential of quantum technologies for drug development and biotech

How might quantum technologies revolutionize drug development and biotech? How are quantum sensors already improving medtech? An event organized by Swissnex in partnership with NCCR SPIN explored how quantum can catalyze advances in the life sciences.

Quantum: A Catalyst for Bio took place on Monday March 11, 2024 in Boston. Hosted at The Engine, the event is part of Project Quantum, Swissnex’s initiative to connect Switzerland and the world in quantum science and technology.

The panel brought together leading experts from public institutions and the industry from Basel, Switzerland, and the Boston area to understand how quantum can catalyze a new era of life sciences innovation. The speakers who contributed their insught were Elica Kyoseva from NVIDIA, Dominik Zumbühl from the University of Basel and the NCCR SPIN, Yvonna Li from Roche, Frederik Flöther from QuantumBasel, Catherine Lefebvre from GESDA, Clément Javerzac from FHNV and associate member at NCCR SPIN and Borja Peropadre from IBM.
